To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many fast coastal patrol boats are available to the Royal Navy.

There are 25 patrol craft of various classes in service with the Royal Navy, as set out in annex A to the "Statement on the Defence Estimates 1989" (Cm. 675-I).
