§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThe amount of housing grant payable in the current financial year is estimated at £112 million. The grant payable in 1990–91 will be calculated after my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State makes his public expenditure statement. The arrangements for financing the Northern Ireland Housing Executive include payment of an annual housing grant based on the difference between the executive's approved revenue expenditure and its revenue income, mainly from rents.
