§ Mr. John PattenWe are currently considering the findings of Lord Carlisle's report on the parole system in England and Wales. These have considerable implications for the supervision, support and resettlement of offenders. We hope to publish detailed proposals, some of them dealing with my hon. Friend's points, in the new year.
