To ask the Secretary of State for Defence whether he will make it his policy that the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for the Armed Forces will not announce any decision on the future of the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, Melton Mowbray, prior to(a) his forthcoming visit to the base, (b) having discussed the planning aspects with the Melton borough council and (c) meeting the hon. Member for Rutland and Melton on this matter.
