To ask the Secretary of State for Health when he last met the chairman of the North West regional health authority; and what was discussed.

I have regular meetings with the chairmen of the regional health authorities, including Mr. Bruce Martin the chairman of the North Western regional health authority. I last met them on 14 November when we discussed a number of management issues.
