§ Mr. GristIn cases of physical contamination of food, where a decision is taken by the Government to issue a general warning to district council environmental health officers, food hazard warning notices are issued as soon as practicable (usually within a few hours) after receipt, by the Department, of the necessary information.
The number of cases of food contamination recorded in Wales is not held centrally.
