Mr. Pawsey

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what information is maintained by his Department on British Rail's levels of punctuality.

Mr. Portillo

The Department receives information quarterly on the performance of each passenger sector against the quality objectives, including punctuality and, in addition, four-weekly reports for Network SouthEast and Provincial. British Rail reports formally on its performance against the quality of service objectives in its annual report and accounts.
