284Wterms of 1985 prices together with the figures for imports and exports of such goods to the EEC and to other countries.
§ Mr. ForthLatest annual figures indicate that there has not been a fall in output in this sector since 1985. The available data are as follows:
§ Mr. Douglas HoggIn 1988 16 per cent. of Japanese exports to the United Kingdom were covered by an inter-industry voluntary restraint arrangement on cars and commercial vehicles.
As far as the Community is concerned there are no formal restraint arrangements with Japan approved by the Council of Ministers. Because of the nature of such arrangements we cannot be sure what informal arrangements exist within the Community.
