To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if his Department has yet completed the work to the former Cannon Row police station to provide additional accommodation for the benefit of the House.

With the agreement of the Accommodation and Administration Subcommittee No. 1 Cannon row, as it is now known, has been modernised to provide short-term accommodation for the House pending redevelopment of the building as part of the Bridge street redevelopment scheme. I am pleased to advise my hon. Friend that the building is ready for occupation and the first occupants have already moved in.
