To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, pursuant to his answers to the hon. Member for Linlithgow of 2 November,Official Report, column 265, and the hon. Member for Huddersfield (Mr. Sheerman) of 27 October, Official Report, column 637, if he has assessed the costs and benefits of the use of public funds to establish independent forensic units in universities, along the lines of Professor Brian Caddy's unit in Strathclyde.
