asked Her Majesty's Government:

What was the date of the last payment to a claimant under the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979; how many claims are still outstanding; and what is their intention regarding, the future of this Act.

The latest payment under the Vaccine Payments Act 1979 was made on 11th September. At present there are nine claims awaiting decision and 54 claims awaiting the outcome of a review by a vaccine damage tribunal. We have no plans to change the Act.
