§ Mr. MacleanThe scheme already caters for this. Set-aside land may be put to fallow, either for the full set-aside period or in rotation with cropping. There is, thus, the opportunity for farmers intending to adopt organic methods to take land out of intensive agricultural production and to clear it of residues before organic production commences.
