§ Mr. Parry
To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the number of young unemployed in the Province at the latest available date.

§ Mr. Needham
At 14 September 1989, the latest date for which figures are available, 31,593 unemployed claimants in Northern Ireland were under 25 years old, and 4,739 of these were aged 18 or under.

§ Mr. Parry
To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the unemployment figure among construction workers in the Province at the latest date.

§ Mr. Needham
At 14 September 1989, the latest date for which figures are available, there were 17,549 unemployed construction workers in Northern Ireland.
