§ Mr. Menzies CampbellTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many cases originating in Scotland are pending before the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board; and how many such cases have been dealt with by the board in every year since its inception.
§ Mr. John PattenThe board had 95,395 cases outstanding on 31 October 1989. No breakdown of this total is kept between English, Scottish and Welsh cases, but over recent years the proportion of Scottish applications has been around 16 per cent. of the total.
