To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list in theOfficial Report for each year since 1978 the number of (a) private beds in non-National Health Service hospitals by hospital, (b) private beds in National Health Service hospitals by health authority and hospital and (c) amenity beds in National Health Service hospitals by health authority and hospitals.

  1. (a) the number of private beds in non National Health Service Hospitals (1982 onwards)—table A;
  2. (b) the number of private beds in National Health Service hospitals by health authority and hospital—table B;
  3. (c) the number of amenity beds in the National Health Service by health authority, (1980 onwards)-table C.

A table showing the distribution of amenity beds in NHS hospitals by hospital could be provided only at disproportionate cost.
