§ Mrs. Margaret EwingTo ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list in theOfficial Report all current advisers to his Department who are not career civil servants, giving their date of appointment and fees.
§ Mr. RifkindThere are currently two part-time advisers to the Scottish Office. They are:
- Professor J. Lamb CBE, Scientific Adviser, appointed on 20 September 1987.
- Dr. C. K. Bennington, Industrial Adviser, appointed on 8 August 1988.
It is not our practice to divulge the remuneration of industrial advisers. Fees are negotiated individually and relate to previous outside earnings.
