HC Deb 07 November 1989 vol 159 c571W
78. Mr. Tredinnick

To ask the Secretary of State for Health what representations he has had concerning the provisions of medical aid for Poland.

Mr. Kenneth Clarke

I have not received any representations on this subject but my hon. Friend the Minister of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs received one inquiry about medical equipment in September this year. I visited Poland at the invitation of the Polish Minister of Health and Social Welfare in April this year for discussions and as a result we are now looking at various proposals for co-operation on medical training, health service reforms and a broadening of the scope of the United Kingdom-Poland health co-operation agreement.
