§ Mr. Peter WalkerThe available figures show that, between 1979 and 1988 inclusive, 360 individual inward investment projects have been secured in Wales, promising over 43,000 jobs. 1988 was a record year in which Wales secured 22 per cent. of the new jobs associated with inward investment to the United Kingdom. The associated capital investment for that year was over £1 billion.
