HL Deb 06 November 1989 vol 512 c532WA
Lord Kennet

asked Her Majesty's Government:

What are the implications for the United Kingdom of the language in the joint United States-Soviet statement on the Baker-Shevardnadze talks in Wyoming concerning the United States radar station at Fylingdales, in the light of the Soviet Union's announced intention to dismantle its radar station at Krasnoyarsk.

Lord Brabazon of Tara

Soviet concerns about RAF Fylingdales relate to interpretation of the anti-ballistic missile treaty: this is a matter for the parties to the treaty.
