§ Mr. WareingTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many firms in(a) manufacturing industry, (b) the service sector and (c) the construction industry are adhering to the quota system in the employment of disabled people; and what percentage of the firms in each of these groups they represent.
§ Mr. EggarThe information requested is not held centrally and could be obtained only at disproportionate cost.
§ Mr. WareingTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he has any plans to make changes in the quota system as it affects the employment of disabled people.
§ Mr. EggarThe quota scheme is amongst the matters being considered in the internal review of services to people with disabilities which my Department has been undertaking, the results of which will be made known as soon as possible.
