Friend has received formal objections to the CEGB's application for his consent to construct a PWR nuclear power station at Wylfa from both the Isle of Anglesey borough council and the Gwynedd county council. He is therefore obliged to arrange a public inquiry pursuant to section 34(1) of the Electricity Act 1957.
