§ The Attorney-GeneralThe income raised by fees in the county court and the Supreme Court (High Court and Court of Appeal) respectively for the last three years, and the total cost of the civil courts, exclusive of judicial costs, 361W are shown in the table. It is not possible to give a precise breakdown of costs between the Supreme Court and county courts. Civil business is treated as a single entity and many of the components of the overall figure, for example administrative overheads, are not broken down in this way. However, an estimate based on 1988–89 figures suggests that 75 per cent, of the cost is attributable to county court and district registry services, and 25 per cent. to other Supreme Court services.
