To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security when Statutory Instrument 1989/1824 was referred to the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council; and what advice the council gave.

[holding answer 31 October 1989]: The proposals relating to the regulations in this statutory instrument were referred to the council in January this year. They did not raise any formal objection.
