§ Mr. MacleanI shall need to implement into United Kingdom law the provisions of Council Directive 89/108/EEC on quick frozen foodstuffs for human consumption and the provisions of Council Directive 89/395/EEC on food labelling which includes a requirement for the date marking of frozen foods. I expect to issue separate proposals for regulations under the Food Act 1984 on both these matters early in 1990.
