§ Mr. MacGregorFollowing the advice in the Southwood report, I indicated that I would be introducing regulations prohibiting the use of specified offals in foods intended for babies. I am aware of the suggestion that such a prohibition should be extended to all meat products even though the Southwood report did not identify any such general need. There is already a prohibition on the use of specified offal in uncooked meat products. I am considering whether further action should be taken to reinforce the present law.
