§ Mr. Donald ThompsonMy Department's current work programme on these policies is set out in paragraphs 6.11.1 to 6.11.7 of the White Paper "Releasing Enterprise". In addition, MAFF is actively participating in the wider initiatives described in "Releasing Enterprise", notably the programme for improving understanding between Government and business and the deregulation rolling review programmes, the first of which was announced by my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Corporate Affairs in his written reply of 31 January. More generally, my Department aims to promote efficient and competitive agriculture, sea fisheries and food and drink manufacturing and distribution industries by encouraging enterprise and better regulation, better relationships and better service.
