§ Mr. Nicholls[holding answer 17 May 1989]: Claims for training fees submitted by training managers are subject to checks both within Training Agency area offices and at the training manager's premises.
The checks include the comparison of claims with individual trainee records and information notified to unemployment benefit offices.
Responsibility for Government programmes in Northern Ireland lies with the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland.
