§ Mr. Teddy TaylorTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what amount of the £155 million to be provided to United Kingdom farmers in consequence of the recent common agricultural policy price agreement will be provided by the EEC, Her Majesty's Government and the consumer respectively.
§ Mr. MacGregorApproximately one half is expected to be financed by the Exchequer either directly, or indirectly from the European Community, with the remainder being borne by consumers. The total impact on the retail prices index (all items) is estimated to be very small, at most one twentieth of 1 per cent.
