§ Mr. Douglas HoggInformation about the total number of arrests by each police force is collected centrally but it is not broken down into specific offence categories. Information on the number of persons dealt with by the courts in respect of offences under sections 3 and 4 of the Vagrancy Act 1824 is published annually in "Criminal Statistics". The available information for 1987 appears in tables 1.1c and 1.1d of the supplementary tables volume 1.
