To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give the ethnic background data for YTS trainees as at(a) March and (b) October 1988 and (c) March 1989, separately, for each youth training scheme operating in each of the Training Agency areas of Greater London.

The information requested has been sent to the hon. Member and a copy placed in the Library.

Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give the ethnic data for YTS trainees as at March and October 1988 and March 1989, separately for each YTS, both local and large company unit, operating in the Doncaster and Mexborough areas of South Yorkshire.
