§ Mrs. ChalkerThe United Kingdom believes that the EFTA countries should, as far as is practicable and mutually beneficial, have access to the single market. The programme of EC/EFTA co-operation initiated by the Luxembourg declaration of 1984 is continuing. Following a joint ministerial meeting on 20 March, the Commission is exploring with EFTA options for further extending co-operation. A further ministerial meeting is planned for the autumn.
