§ Mr. MellorFor 1987–88 the annual accounts of the Halton health authority recorded current expenditure of £355,824 on domestic cleaning services representing 1.9 per cent. of the authority's total current expenditure. Average current expenditure on these services by all district health authorities in England was £1,798,723, representing 3.2 per cent. of their current expenditure.
