To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the duty paid on(a) aviation kerosene and (b) fuels used by commercial vehicles.

The effective rate of duty on aviation kerosene is nil.

Most commercial vehicles use diesel fuel (DERV), some use petrol and a few use liquified petroleum gas (LPG). The rates of duty are:

Petrol
(unleaded) 0.1772
(leaded, 4 star) 0.2044
LPG 0.1022
