§ Mrs. ChalkerSince the Nationalist party won the general elections in May 1987, we have discussed a wide range of bilateral and multilateral subjects with the Maltese Government. In the context of our excellent bilateral relations, the discussions have in particular covered the new technical co-operation programme, announced by my right hon. Friend the Prime Minister on 15 September 1988, the co-operation agreement, signed when I visited Malta from 14 to 16 March, and the opening of the British Council English Language resource centre, in Valetta, due to take place this autumn.
