§ Dr. GodmanTo ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will publish in theOfficial Report the number of children who have received compensation from the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board for physical or psychological injuries suffered in cases of physical or sexual abuse in each of the past seven years; what was the range of sums awarded in compensation; and what was the average amount awarded to children following such cases.
§ Mr. John PattenThe board does not at present collate separately details of claims or awards relating to children, but plans to record from 1 April the number of applications which are based on alleged physical or sexual abuse of children.
