§ 63. Mr. Gow
To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects to complete the sale to the public of the nine English water authorities.

§ Mr. Moynihan
The nine English water authorities will be privatised by the end of 1989.

§ 97. Mr. Flannery
To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he next proposes meeting the chairmen of the water authorities to discuss water privatisation.

§ Mr. Moynihan
My right hon. Friend met the chairmen on Monday 20 March. Further meetings will be arranged as necessary.
