§ Mr. Chris PattenThe World Bank has development lending for the Brazilian power sector under consideration. The scope of the bank's proposed second power sector loan is under review between the bank and the Brazilian authorities. I cannot say when these discussions will be concluded or what the outcome will be. I have given an assurance to concerned non-governmental organisations that we will consult them, if and when a loan is put to the World Bank's executive board, before we decide what line to take.
