To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will publish details of all fatal and other serious accidents that have occurred in the approaches to the Severn bridge in tailbacks in each of the past 10 years.

Information on accidents occurring in tailbacks is not specifically recorded as such.

In the past five years for which information is readily available, there have been 34 vehicular accidents involving personal injury on the M4 within four miles of the Severn bridge in England, excluding the bridge itself.
