To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many people were convicted of drug-related offences for each year since 1979.

The information requested is given in the table. For this purpose, the relevant offences are taken to be the illegal importation, production, manufacture, cultivation or supply of drugs, possession with intent to supply, and simple possession.
