To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food how much meat was produced in total from abattoirs in the United Kingdom in 1988.

In total, 2.3 million tonnes of carcase meat (beef, veal, sheep and pigmeat) was produced from abattoirs in the United Kingdom in 1988.
