To ask the Secretary of State for Health what representations he has received from the London borough of Hillingdon concerning the importation of hazardous waste through London Heathrow airport and the environmental health implications of the carriage of dangerous substances by air; if he will review the Public Health (Aircraft) Regulations 1979; and if he will make a statement.

A letter from the chief executive of the London borough of Hillingdon has been received. Copies were sent also to my right hon. Friends the Secretary of State for the Environment, the Secretary of State for Transport and the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, to a number of hon. Friends and hon. Members and to a number of local authorities and other organisations. A reply will be sent to the chief executive as soon as is practicable and I shall write to my hon. Friend at the same time.
