§ Mr. Peter BottomleyRegulations made in September last year require all new model types from 1 October 1989, and virtually all existing model types from 1 October 1990, to be capable of running on unleaded petrol. Special arrangements for the less than 2 per cent. of new cars which would need major engineering changes will expire on 1 October 1993.
