To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, what was the value of urban programme moneys for each year since 1979(a) for Wales, and (b) for district councils in the valleys initiative area, at constant prices.

Notes:

1. The allocations in real terms have been derived by the application of the GDP deflator at market prices with 1988–89 as base year.

2. Boundaries for district councils do not correspond to boundary of Valleys Programme area and the figures in table b above do not include allocations for county councils.
