§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department of Social Security (Lord Skelmersdale)The report, which is being published today, provides an authoritative account of the standards of social security adjudication. We welcome the report and the recognition that the replacement of supplementary benefit with income support, as part of our reform of the social security system, has produced encouraging signs for further improvements in the standard of adjudication.
