Mr. Rooker

To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster how many operating licences have been issued by his Department's radio communications division in central London to users operating on base transmission of 442.97500 mHz and mobile transmission of 428.47500 mHz; and how many users have complained about overcrowding of the frequency.

[holding answer 13 March 1989]: There are six licensed operators on these frequencies within the M25, and one licensed operator in the west midlands area.

Three users, from within the M25 area, have complained about overcrowding of these frequencies. These complaints are being investigated.
