To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what representations he has received on the effects of the level of inflation on industry.

Mr. Atkins

A number of those who make representations to my Department refer to the need to contain inflation. The great majority recognise that this must remain a top priority both for Government and for business itself.
