To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what is the latest figure for(a) the estimated expenditure by his Ministry on press and public relations during 1988–89, and (b) the budget for 1989–90.

The latest figure for the estimated expenditure by my Ministry on press and public relations during 1988–89 is £900,000. The latest estimate for the budget for 1989–90 is £1 million.
