§ Mr. NealeTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment to what extent his Department's water inspectorate remains in contact with the South West water authority in conjunction with the supply of water from the Lowermoor treatment works; and if it continues to monitor the authority's performance in supplying water in the Lowermoor distribution area.
§ Mr. HowardThe Department maintains regular contact with the South West water authority and receives a weekly summary of results of sampling in the distribution system served by the Lowermoor treatment works.
