To ask the Secretary of State for Energy when he next expects to meet the chairman of British Coal to discuss the future of the Scottish coalmining industry.

I meet the chairman regularly to discuss all aspects of the coal industry. I would also refer the hon. Member to the answer I gave earlier today to the hon. Member for Dunfermline, West (Mr. Douglas).
