To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the latest information regarding private medicine sector debts to the National Health Service in Scotland for the use of facilities and installations of the National Health Service.

Mr. Rifkind

The information, as sought, is not held centrally. At 31 March 1988, £92,706 was due to the National Health Service in Scotland for treatment given to private in-patients.
